MEDIA RELEASE
indigiTUBE.com.au TURNS ONE
indigiTUBE, the national platform for First Nations content, celebrated the first anniversary of its relaunch with new features for the website and app.

Reflecting on a huge year since the new indigiTUBE platform went live in September 2018, Project Manager Jaja Dare says;

"Being able to share music, live events, special features and language content that connects with new audiences has been amazing. Right from the outset we've had amazing highlights with Baker Boy performing live at our launch in Sydney, to events like the Bush Bands Bash, a dedicated NAIDOC channel, Mabo Day and International Women's Day features highlighting significant content for our mob. Seeing everyone sharing their work and how well it has been received by people using the app and streaming online has been awesome."

During 2019 indigiTUBE has premiered content such as: Zero Point - the first Indigenous comic hero; Snake Dreaming - a short film about Stolen Generations who learnt the history from their grandmothers; and Birdz - single release for Place of Dreams. Bush Bands Bash 2018 was the most popular album with audiences this year, receiving over 50 listens per month. The PAW Live album and Turlku 2 recordings are rating high on the indigiTUBE listener charts. Meanwhile, the most popular video content this year was the beloved Bush Mechanics and the Mabo official video clip.

New content is being added every week including super-popular language clips from Kaurna Warra Pintyanthi, the Indij Hip Hop show from Koori Radio, The Real podcast episodes and plenty of new music to check out!
